Newsletters

Email newsletters are a great way to get return visitors to your site.  You can market your services or products directly to those people who have at least some interest in what you have to offer - after all, they signed up to receive your newsletters.

How can people subscribe to my newsletter?

We will usually place a form in the sidebar of your home page where people can submit their name and address.  They then receive an automated email from you welcoming them to the mailing list.  They will then receive any future newsletters.

Can I use my existing mailing list?

As long as you adhere to the some basic rules regarding spam, we can import an existing mailing list into the system.

How do subscribers unsubscribe?

There is a link contained within the newsletters that will automatically remove them from the mailing list.

How much does it cost to send email newsletters?

We currently use two different newsletter systems:

• Silverstripe newsletter - built into the content management system of your site.  This system is good for smaller mailing lists.
  If you produce the newsletters yourself, there is no cost. 
• Outsourced newsletter - the sending of the newsletter is taken care of by another company dedicated to this service.  This system will scale up to very large mailing lists without putting pressure on the server running your website.  Some very sophisticated analytics data is also collected.
  There is a cost involved on a 'pay per campaign' basis.  The cost is based on the size of the mailing list.
